Bubbles!
Daddy turned the bath jets on for the kids last night while I was putting the baby down. When I came back down, he said, "I don't know what happened! I didn't put any bubbles in!?" No, silly Daddy... I had when I started the bath! :) Anyways... The kids always love being swallowed by the bubbles. I have to grab the camera at least once a year to catch some giant bubble bath pictures!

The Seventh Day
Tonight while putting Bella to bed, we were talking about the story of creation. (She's been wanting to hear almost every night the Bible story of how God created everything in seven days...) She had asked me to tell her again, and at the end we always say, "and He saw what He had made, and it was very good". Tonight I remembered to tell her too, though, that God had rested on the seventh day since He worked so hard the first six days.
"Did He sleep that day?"
"I don't know. Maybe..."
"Well, maybe He watched TV and just relaxed!"
How cute is that!? I love the innocence, wonder, and matter-of-factness in Isabella when we talk about God and Jesus. This was right after she prayed in her nightly prayer that He would help Daddy feel better from his cold and for her cough to go away. She said that, "I think Jesus will make a miracle! Mommy, what's a miracle?" :)

What are Cavities?
Today at preschool a hygienist came to teach the kids about oral health. Tonight in the bath, Bella was quite engrossed in talking to me and Lincoln about cavities. After being asked what a cavity was and being in the midst of giving my best in-depth yet tailored to a four-year-old answer, this is what Bella interrupted me with...
"No, Mommy! A cavity is when the dentist looks in your mouth and says, OH MY GOSH! YOU HAVE A CAVITY AND NEED TO BRUSH MORE EVERY DAY!"
Okay... Easy enough explanation. She then followed by telling Lincoln...
"After you eat 100 candies, you need to brush your teeth so you don't get a cavity."
I then told her that that is the exact reason that I don't allow her to eat 100 candies. It's just not good for her teeth! :)

Movie Review...
Mark and I saw a wonderful movie last night that I wanted to share with everyone! (I usually don't get excited about many movies, if that tells you anything!) After hearing such great reviews and waiting a long time to see it, Mark brought home Fireproof to watch last night. It didn't disappoint! For those of you who haven't heard of it or seen it yet, it's a small-budget, Christian-based movie on marriage starring Kirk Cameron. It's definitely worth watching. (I think I will watch it again tonight before we have to return it!) I have a couple of songs in my play list now from the movie too. ("Love is Not a Fight" and "While I'm Waiting")

A Date with Daddy
Isabella had her annual Dads' Night at preschool at the end of January. She was so excited to take Daddy to "A Night at the Races" for games, crafts, and eating doughnut holes. ("Because all dads love doughnut holes", she said!) Here is a quick picture that I snapped before they left...
Back in the Swing of Things
Well, it's official... Our annual Tennessee vacation is over. :( We arrived safely back home on Sunday afternoon after a fairly smooth drive home. We had a great time in Tennessee aside from the snow that followed us down for a few days and the sicknesses! (Colds were plentiful and an ER visit mid-week confirmed Brigham's Bronchiolitis.) We took a trip to Ripley's Aquarium and always have fun there. We also took advantage of the nice days by playing outside and doing some outlet shopping. And best of all, a trip to Tennessee wouldn't be complete without a lot of good Southern food! I think that I maybe got my fill of mac 'n cheese, southern-style green beans, and fried okra! :) We also ate at our favorite BBQ place, Tony Gore's three times! Mom and Dad arrived on Wednesday, and the kids really enjoyed spending time with them and playing. Even though I miss the laid-back nature of vacation already, it's always good to get back in a routine. We'll look forward to our trip next year to our home-away-from-home! :)
Here are just a couple of pictures, but I'll post more for sure. I have a lot!

Vacation!
Well, we are officially in Tennessee as of yesterday mid-afternoon! While it's not "warm" here, the full sunshine and high of 58 degrees today is much better than the below 0 wind chills at home! We have a day planned of just being outside and playing at the playground. Since the temperature will be falling here tomorrow, we are going to stay inside at the aquarium that we don't miss a year of. Hopefully I can post some pictures later in the week...
